The Ivy was opened in the spring of 1996. It was an apartment before it was turned into a Bed & Breakfast. It is located above Dresden Pottery & Our Favorite Things ... a couple of the local retail stores right on Main St. in the center of the shopping district. The Ivy vines cover the outside of the building hiding it from the rest of the world. Even thought it is located on Main St., it is very secluded since the main entrance is located from the alley in back. It was opened because of the overwhelming response of people wanting to spend the night in Dresden. It is a favorite of groups wanting to rent all four rooms as their own private get away.
