The Dresden Village Victorian was built in the 1860s. In 1896 the porch was added as shown in the picture. In 1976 Dick & Rita Parsons purchased the home and raised two children in it.

After their children grew up and moved out, Dick & Rita saw a need for lodging in Dresden because of the increased tourist activity due to the Longaberger
Company. So in the spring of 1992 they opened their home to the public as the Village Victorian Bed & Breakfast. This was the first B & B in Dresden and Muskingum County. They started out with two rooms, and then by 1996, they had four rooms as they added on to the back of the house for their living quarters. This way, the original house would be available for the guests who stayed here.

In 2003 Dick & Rita thought it was time to retire and do some traveling so they graciously allowed us to purchase the Village Victorian & to continue the tradition they started over 12 years ago.

In July of 2003 we took over the operation of running the Dresden Village Victorian and to continue to give our guests a comfortable, clean and beautiful place to spend the night.
